MORE THAN 5 MILLION AMERICANS ARE LIVING WITH ALZHEIMER'S

BY 2050, THIS NUMBER COULD RISE AS HIGH AS 16 MILLION

Before there’s a cure, there’s a caregiver™
Since opening its doors in 2009, Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, through the generosity of Keep Memory Alive and its donors, has provided more than 122,000 visits for patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease as well as a variety of other devastating neurodegenerative conditions including Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, multiple system atrophy and Huntington’s.
Watch family caregivers share stories from the heart of the physical and emotional challenges of being a caregiver.

Making Memories While Saving Memories. Participate in Moments that Matter.

Beginning November 1, the Las Vegas community will engage in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by taking part in these programs and initiatives:

We are grateful to our generous community supporters who are joining Keep Memory Alive to commemorate National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month and National Family Caregiving Month throughout November.

An Evening with Patti Davis

Keep Memory Alive Event Center

The evening will include a testimonial from Davis herself as she shares her experience of being a caregiver to her late father, Ronald Reagan, which inspired her to create a model of support titled “Beyond Alzheimer’s.” Since 2011 Davis has been facilitating these support groups, which pair facilitators with medical providers to ensure that caregivers’ questions and concerns are answered in a timely manner.

RESEARCH

Today, Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth leading cause of death, with an estimated 5 million Americans currently affected. Without a disease-modifying therapy, that number is expected to reach 16 million by 2050. To combat this devastating statistic, the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health has spent the past eight years to become one of the largest Alzheimer’s disease clinical trial sites in the country, conducting more than 70 clinical trials and publishing more than 200 scientific papers toward advancing the science behind brain diseases. Currently, the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health is enrolling 22 clinical trials focusing on both treatment and prevention and is in critical need of participants - particularly those with normal cognition. Call 855-568-7886 or email healthybrains@ccf.org.
